Yitzchak Issac Weiss of Spinka and R. Yissachar Shlomo Teichtal of Pishtian. ™ Rabbi Yitzchak Issac Weiss (1875-1944) was the son of the founder of the Spinka dynasty, R. Yosef Meir Weiss (1838-1909), whom he succeeded as Rebbe. In addition to being a renowned Chassidic leader, he led a great Yeshiva and was one of the most influential Hungarian Rebbes in the period between the two World Wars. Tragically martyred during the holocaust, his works were published posthumously under the title Chakal Yitzchak, and are considered classics of Chasidic thought. Rabbi Yissachar Shlomo Teichtal (1885-1945) was born in Hungary into a well-known rabbinical family. At age twenty one, he received rabbinic ordination from R. Shmuel Rosenberg of Unsdorf and R. Mordechai Leib Winkler of Mad. In 1921 he became the Av Beis Din of Pishtian, Czechoslovakia where he established the Moriah Yeshiva. He was a prolific writer, and authored a number of important rabbinic works including his halachic reponsa Mishnah Sachir, as well as Eim Habanim Sameichah concerning the Jewish people and their relationship with the land of Israel.
