Autograph postcard in Hebrew, dated 1957, to Rabbi M. Z. Eisenstadt of New York (acclaimed author of the super commentary Birkas Yitzchak on the Ramban). ™ Concerns the publication of the sefer Meor Yaakov, [novella of R. Yaakov Meir Biderman (Grandfather of the Rebbe)], which the Rebbe of Gur had published in 1957. Thanks Rabbi Eisenstadt for contributing towards publication of the sefer and for his words of praise for the Rebbe “although without a doubt I am not worthy of them”. Continues with scholarly notes regarding the Rebbe’s own novella which were published as an addendum to the sefer. The Rebbe writes “although I had much to add regarding this topic, I refrained, as my purpose was to publish thoughts of my grandfather, and especially as my main objective was to give nachas to my mother by publishing the works of her father”. Excellent condition. 10 by 14.5 cm. Lot includes Rabbi Eisenstadt’s copy of the sefer Meor Yaakov, which he received as a personal gift from the Rebbe.
