R. Chaim Stein (1912-2011), was one of the outstanding Talmidim of Yeshivas Telz in Lithuania. He led a small group of Telzer talmidim through Siberia during the Holocaust, eventually joining the reestablished Telzer Yeshiva in Cleveland where he joined the faculty and was eventually appointed as Rosh yeshiva. He was held in tremendous respect and was one of the preeminent Roshei Yeshiva, continuing to learn and teach Torah until his passing at the age of 99.

ר’ חיים שטיין (תרע”ב- תשע”א, 1912-2011) היה מגדולי תלמידי ישיבת טעלז בליטא. הוא הנהיג קבוצה קטנה של תלמידים מטעלז דרך סיביר בתקופת השואה, והצטרף בסופו של דבר לישיבת טעלז שהוקמה מחדש בקליבלנד, שם היה חלק מהצוות לימים מונה לראש הישיבה. הוא הוחזק ביראת כבוד והיה אחד מראשי הישיבה הדגולים. המשיך ללמוד וללמד תורה עד פטירתו בגיל 99.
