First Chabad siddur, based on the Nussach Arizal to be published in America. Published by the then newly founded Kehot publishing, under the direction of the Rebbe RaYaTZ. Kehot was established in 1941 by the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, R. Yosef Yitzchok Schneerson. In 1942 he appointed his son-in-law, R. Menachem M. Schneerson (later the Lubavitcher Rebbe) as director and editor-in-chief.
