R. Yochanan Twersky (1903-1982), was the son of R. David of Rachmistrivka, father of the present Rachmistrivka Rebbe of New York and grandfather of the present Rachmistrivka Rebbe of Yerusholayim. After the passing of his father in 1950, he assumed leadership of the Rachmistrivka Chassidim until his passing in 1982. He was renowned for his piety and fervent prayers.

ר’ יוחנן טווערסקי (תרס”ג- תשמ”ב, 1903-1982), בנו של ר’ דוד מרחמיסטריווקא, היה אביו של האדמו”ר הנוכחי מרחמיסטריווקא בניו יורק, וסב האדמו”ר הנוכחי מרחמיסטריווקא ירושלים.
אחר פטירת אביו בתש”י (1950), ירש את הנהגת חסידות רחמסטריווקא עד פטירתו בתשמ”ב (1982). נודע בצדקותו ובתפילותיו המיוחדות.
