R. Shmuel HaLevi Wosner (1913-2015), learned under R. Meir Shapiro and R. Shimon Engel (Zelichover) in Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin and immigrated to Eretz Yisroel in 1939. Following a number of years serving on the Rabbinate of the Eidah HaCharedis, he relocated to Bnei Brak at the behest of the Chazon Ish to serve as the founding Rov of Zichron Meir. He also served as Rosh Yeshiva of the reestablished Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin. He was one of the preeminent Poskim of his time and taught generations of talmidim including hundreds of Rabbonim. מכתב אוטוגרפי לבבי מאת ר’ שמואל הלוי וואזנר לר’ יעקב גאלדמן בו הוא מודה לו על שהוציא לאור את הספר שערי שמחה מר’ אהרן שמחה בלומנטל “אשר אין לך גמ”ח לחיים ולמתים גדול מזה”. הוא חותם בברכות לבביות.
ר’ שמואל הלוי וואזנר (תרע”ג- תשע”ה, 1913-2015), למד אצל ר’ מאיר שפירא ור’ שמעון אנגל (זליכובער’) בישיבת חכמי לובלין. בשנת תרצ”ט (1939) עלה לארץ ישראל בה שימש תחילה כמה שנים כרב בעדה החרדית. בעקבות הוראתו של החזון איש שישמש כרב המייסד של שכונת זכרון מאיר בבני ברק- עבר אליה. כיהן גם כראש ישיבת חכמי לובלין המחודשת. היה מגדולי הפוסקים בדורו ולימד תורה לדורות של תלמידים, ביניהם מאות רבנים. מחבר הספר שבט הלוי.
