R. Aaron Levin (1880-1941), was born into a distinguished rabbinical family and was renowned from a young age for his brilliant mind coupled with great diligence. He studied primarily under his father, R. Nosson Levin Rav of Reisha and his grandfather the renowned R. Yitzchok Schmelkes (Bais Yitzchok), Rav of Lemberg. He served as Rav in Sambor and following his father’s passing in 1926 he succeeded him as Rav in Reisha. He was one of the most influential rabbinical figures in Poland, consulted on every Jewish communal issue and in addition to his rabbinical duties he served as a member of the Polish Sejm (Parliament) as a representative of Agudas Yisroel.

ר’ אהרון לוין תר”מ-תש”א ( 1880- 1941), נולד למשפחה רבנית מפוארת ונתפרסם כבר מגיל צעיר בזכות מוחו החריף יחד עם שקידתו העצומה. הוא למד בעיקר מפי אביו – ר’ נתן לוין – רבה של רישא, וסבו המפורסם – ר’ יצחק שמעלקעס (בית יצחק), רבה של לעמבערג.
הוא כיהן כרב בסאמבור, ועם פטירת אביו ב-תרפ”ו (1926), ירש את מקומו כרב ברישא. היה אחד הדמויות הרבניות המשפיעות ביותר בפולין, עימו התייעצו בכל נושא יהודי, ובנוסף לתפקידיו הרבניים שירת כחבר הפרלמנט הפולני כנציג אגודת ישראל.
