Interesting autograph postcard sent by R. Nochum Partzovitz to R. Dovid Moskovitz of Shikun Ha’Rabonim, Yerusholayim. It seems that R. Moskovitz was looking for volumes of a Shas and R. Nochum writes of the numerous volumes that he may be able to obtain for him.
R. Nochum Partzovitz (1923-1986), was born in Trok and was one of the most prominent students of both R. Baruch Ber Leibowitz, R. Elchanan Wasserman and Yeshivas Mir. During the war he remained with the Mir Yeshiva in Shanghai. In 1951 he married the daughter of the Mirrer Rosh Yeshiva R. Chaim Shmuelevitz. In 1952 he was appointed as a Rosh Yeshiva, a position in which he served until his passing. He taught thousands of students and was one of the most prominent Maggidei Shiur of his era. He was succeeded by his son in law, the renowned R. Osher Arielli.

גלויה אוטוגרפית מעניינת ששלח ר’ נחום פרצוביץ לרב דוד מושקוביץ משיכון הרבנים, ירושלים. מהכתוב נראה שהרב מושקוביץ חיפש כרכים של ש”ס ור’ נחום כותב לו על הכרכים הרבים שהוא יכול להשיג עבורו.
ר’ נחום פרצוביץ (תרפ”ג – תשמ”ו, 1923-1986), נולד בטרוק והיה מתלמידיהם הבולטים של ר’ ברוך בער ליבוביץ ור’ אלחנן ווסרמן ומתלמידי ישיבת מיר. בתקופת מלחמת העולם גלה עם הישיבה לשנחאי. בשנת תשי”א (1951), נישא לביתו של ראש הישיבה, ר’ חיים שמואלביץ. בשנת תשי”ב (1952), מונה לראש הישיבה, תפקיד בו שימש עד פטירתו.
הוא לימד אלפי תלמידים, והיה ממגידי השיעור הבולטים ביותר בתקופתו. את מקומו ירש חתנו המפורסם, ר’ אשר אריאלי.
