Long letter signed by R. Mordechai Twerski of Rachmistrivka to R. Moshe Zev Weinman, thanking him for his donation and continuing with a long all-encompassing Brocha.
R. Mordechai Twerski of Rachmistrivka (1850-1920), was born to R. Yochanan Twerski, the son of the Chernobyler Maggid and the founder of the Rachmistrivka dynasty. In 1906, he moved to Eretz Yisroel and settled in Yerusholayim where he was highly respected by the Tzadikim of the Old Yishuv as well as the general populace. On Chol Hamoed Pesach 1920 while returning from the Kosel, he was attacked and brutally beaten by Arabs and passed away a few weeks later. This historic letter dated 24th of Nissan 1920 is written a few days after the attack and very shortly before his passing.
Father of the renowned R. Pinchos (Pinya’la) of Ostilla who was the son in law of R. Yissoschar Dov of Belz.

מכתב ארוך שנכתב לר’ משה ויינמאן, עם חתימתו של ר’ מרדכי טווערסקי מרחמיסריווקא, המודה לו על תרומתו ומאחל לו ברכות כל טוב ארוכות.
ר’ מרדכי טווערסקי מרחמיסריווקא (תר”י, תר”פ, 1850-1920), היה בנו של ר’ יוחנן טווערסקי, בנו של המגיד מטשערנוביל ומייסד חסידות רחמיסטריווקא. בשנת תרס”ו 1906 עלה לארץ ישראל והתיישב בירושלים, בה היה נערץ ביותר על צדיקי היישוב הישן כמו גם על פשוטי העם. בחול המועד פסח של שנת תר”פ 1920, הותקף והוכה נמרצות על ידי ערבים בדרכו חזרה מן הכותל, ונפטר כמה שבועות לאחר מכן. מכתב היסטורי זה מתוארך לכ”ד בניסן תר”פ 1920, ונכתב ימים ספורים אחר ההתקפה, שבועות ספורים לפני פטירתו.
