Rare printed card by R. Moshe Ginz-Schlesinger, the Rav of Kerestir during the time of R. Shayla’s tenure as Rebbe, wishing Mazel Tov on the occasion of a wedding.
R. Moshe Ginz-Schlesinger (1863- 1925), was a Talmid of the Shevet Sofer. He was known as a great Gaon, particularly when it came to the laws of divorce. Questions regarding Gittin were sent to him from throughout Hungary. He was also famous for his Shabbos Shuva Drasha, which lasted for hours. It is said that while most of the attendees would go home in the middle of the Drasha to eat and then return, only R. Shaya’le would stay for its entirety. He passed away two months before R. Shaya’le and is buried in the same Ohel.

מכתב מודפס נדיר מאת ר’ משה גינז- שליזינגר, רבה של קרעסטיר בתקופת כהונתו של ר’ ישעיהלה’ כאדמו”ר, המאחל מזל טוב לרגל נישואין.
ר’ משה גינז- שליזינגר (תרכ”ג- תרפ”ה, 1863-1925) היה תלמידו של השבט סופר. נודע כגאון עצום, בייחוד בהלכות גרושין, ושאלות בנושאי גיטין נשלחו אליו מכל קצוות הונגריה. דרשותיו בשבת שובה, שהתארכו לכדי שעות ארוכות התפרסמו גם הן. מסופר כי רבים ממאזיני הדרשה היו פונים לבתיהם באמצע הדברים כדי לאכול ושבים לאחר מכן, ואילו היחיד שנשאר לאורך כל הדרשה השלימה היה ר’ ישעילה’. נפטר חודשיים לפניו וקבור עימו באותו אוהל.
