Two documents sent to R. Yehoshua Leib Diskin regarding the then newly established Wadi Chanin settlement. Wadi Chanin is located in central Israel and is currently known as Nes Tziona. In the first document the community members appeal to R. Diskin to borrow a Sefer Torah for their local community. At the end of the letter R. Naftali Hertz Halevy Rav of Yaffo attests to the authenticity of the request and signs the letter. The second document is the actual loan contract which the founding ten members of the new congregation signed assuming responsibility for the Sefer Torah on loan from R. Diskin.

שני מסמכים שנשלחו לר’ יהושע לייב דיסקין בעניין היישוב החדש דאז, וואדי חנין. וואדי חנין ממוקמת במרכז הארץ ומוכרת היום כנס ציונה. במסמך הראשון, חברי הקהילה פונים לרב דיסקין בבקשה לשאול ספר תורה עבור הקהילה המקומית. בסוף המכתב מעיד הרב נפתלי הרץ, רבה של יפו, על אוטנטיות הבקשה וחותם על המכתב. המסמך השני הוא חוזה ההלוואה עצמו, שעליו חתומים עשרת החברים המייסדים של הקהילה החדשה תוך לקיחת אחריות על שאילת ספר התורה מר’ דיסקין.
