Autograph postcard written to his nephew who had immigrated to Eretz Yisroel. The Rebbe writes that he has not heard from him in a long time and urges him to reply. On the other side is a lengthy letter written in Yiddish by the Galanta Rebbetzin.
R. Yehoshua Bucsbaum (1877-1944) was a talmid of R. Shmuel Rosenberg of Unsdorf and R. Moshe Hoffman. He served as Rav in Galanta, where in in addition to his rabbinical duties he led a great Yeshiva. Enormously revered, he was held in awe by his talmidim and community whom he continued to lead, until he was tragically killed in the Holocaust.

ר’ יהושע בוקסבוים (תרל”ז-תש”ד 1877-1944) היה תלמיד של ר’ שמואל רוזנברג מאונסדורף ור’ משה הופמן. הוא שימש כרב בגלנטא, שם עמד בראש ישיבה גדולה לצד תפקידיו ברבנות. תלמידיו והקהילה שהוא המשיך להנהיג העריצו אותו מאוד עד רציחתו הטראגית בשואה.
