R. Tzvi. Hirsch Broida (d. 1824), was one of the foremost rabbinical figures and Gaonim of his generation. He served as Rav in Seminetz and Kitzeh. He published several important seforim including Toa’miah Tzivio, Eretz Tzvi and various others, with warm approbations of R. Mordechai Banet, the Ma’HaRaM Mintz, and R. Eliezer Fleckes. He was held in great esteem by his rabbinical contemporaries and his mentioned in Noda B’Yehuda. Upon his passing the Chasam Sofer delivered a Hesped (Derashos Chasam Sofer p 392).

ר’ צבי הירש ברוידא (נפטר בתקפ”ד-1824) היה אחד הרבנים והגאונים המובילים בתקופתו. הוא כיהן כרב בסמינץ וקיצא. חיבר מספר ספרים חשובים לרבות “תאומי צביה”, “ארץ צבי” ואחרים, עם הסכמות נלהבות של ר’ מרדכי בנט, המהר”ם מינץ ור’ אליעזר פלקס. הוערך ביותר על ידי עמיתיו הרבנים,ונזכר בשו”ת נודע ביהודה. נספד ע”י החתם סופר (דרשות חתם סופר דף שצט).
