Rare and important sefer on the history of the communities of Altona, Hamburg and Wandsbeck (AHU) and it’s legendary rabbinical leaders including the Chacham Tzvi, R. Refoel of Hamburg, and R. Yonason Eibeshitz, authored by R. Yechezkel Dukess of Altona. With many important pictures of Rabbonim, Shuls and tombstones.
The legendary “Kehillos AHU” were founded in 1674 and over the generations were fortunate to have had numerous Gedolim serve as their Rabbonim. The system of the three united Kehillos, endured until 1811, when the region was invaded by Napoleon, and the French divided the three communities.

ספר נדיר וחשוב של ר’ יחזקאל דוקקעס מאלטונה על תולדות קהילות קודש אלטונה, המבורג וונדסבק (אה”ו), ומנהיגיהם האגדיים, כגון החכם צבי, ר’ רפאל מהמבורג ור’ יהונתן אייבשיץ. כולל תמונות חשובות רבות של רבנים, בתי כנסת ומצבות.
איחוד ג’ קהילות אה”ו הידוע נוסד בשנת תל”ד (1674), וזכה לכך שגדולי ישראל רבים שמשו כרבניו לאורך הדורות. איחוד זה של שלושת הקהילות החזיק מעמד עד שנת תקע”א (1811), אז פלש נפוליאון לאזור ופיצל אותו לשלושה רשויות בשליטה צרפתית.
