Addendum to the classic Chasidic Sefer Pri Ha’Aretz (Kapust 1814), by R. Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk.
Although the title page says Tzefas, at the end of the sefer it states that it was actually printed in Lemberg.
Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk (1730-1788), was a prominent talmid of the Maggid of Mezritch and merited seeing the Ba’al Shem Tov. Following the petirah of the Maggid (1772) he settled in Horodok together with R. Avrohom Kalischer. In 1777 they led 300 of their Chasidim to settle in Eretz Yisroel, initially in Tzefas and later in Tiveria.

למרות שבעמוד השער נכתב צפת, בסוף הספר נאמר שהוא הודפס למעשה בלעמברג.
רבי מנחם מנדל מוויטבסק (ת”צ- תקמ”ח, 1730-1788), היה מגדולי תלמידי המגיד ממעזריטש וזכה לראות את הבעל שם טוב. בעקבות פטירת המגיד בתקל”ב (1772) השתקע בהורודוק יחד עם ר’ אברהם מקאליש. בשנת תקל”ז (1777) עלו לארץ ישראל יחד עם קבוצה של 300 חסידים, בתחילה התיישבו בצפת ואחר כך בטבריה.
