Fascinating historical document written in Yiddish-Deutsch regarding an incident which occurred in a Jewish community (seemingly in Germany) during a dedication ceremony of a new Synagogue. Apparently, during the festivities some youths initiated a “mixed dance”.
The Rav, responded forcefully by placing a ban on the participants (listed by name) from receiving any religious honors for a period of six months. This document details other repercussions and provides a rare example of rabbinical sanctions against rebellious behavior.
