First edition of the novella of R. Akiva Eiger on Shulchan Aruch, Yoreh Deah. The publisher, R. Nachman Avraham Goldberg received the notes from his father-in-law R. Binyamin Wolf Eiger, son of the author. These novella differ from the Chidushei R. Akiva Eiger printed in most editions of the Shulchan Oruch which are based on the later edition published in Berlin, 1862. This is also the first edition to have the novella of the Vilna Gaon printed alongside the other commentaries.
With a beautifully illustrated title page of an Aron Kodesh and a Bimah. The lithograph was done specifically for this edition, as seen by the title of the sefer and the commentaries that appear here, particularly those that are printed here for the first time.

מהדורה ראשונה של חידושי התורה מאת ר’ עקיבא איגר על שולחן ערוך, יורדה דעה. המו”ל, ר’ נחמן אברהם גולדברג, קיבל את הרישומים מחמיו, ר’ בנימין וולף איגר, בן המחבר. חידושי תורה אלו שונים מחידושי ר’ עקיבא איגר שהודפסו ברוב מהדורות השולחן ערוך, המבוססים על המהדורה המאוחרת יותר שיצאה לאור בברלין בתרכ”ב (1862). זו גם המהדורה הראשונה שבה חידושי התורה של הגאון מווילנא מודפסים לצד המפרשים האחרים.
