Individual volume of the first complete edition of the Talmud, and the first edition of this tractate in particular. This edition determined the layout of the page for nearly every subsequent edition of the Talmud. Additionally, this particular edition of the Talmud is virtually free of the encroachments of the censor. For generations, original copies of the Bomberg Talmud are greatly prized by collectors.
They are particularly rare as they had to survive the “burning of the Talmud” in Venice in 1553 and 1568.

כרך אחד מתוך המהדורה השלימה הראשונה של הש”ס, והמהדורה הראשונה בכלל למסכת זו. מהדורת בומברג קבעה את צורת הדף של הגמרא כמעט בכל המהדורות שיצאו אחריה. יתר על כן, מהדורה ספציפית זו לתלמוד נקיה כמעט מתיקוני הצנזור. משך שנים רבות, היו עותקים מקוריים של ש”ס בומברג יקרי ערך מאוד אצל אספנים.
הכרכים הינם נדירים ביותר שכן היה עליהם לשרוד את שריפות התלמוד בונציה בשנים שי”ג ושכ”ח, 1553 ו1568.
