Ethical directives heard from R. Nachman of Breslov as transmitted by his disciples. Following R. Nachman’s passing in 1810 many of his teachings were published by various disciples.
Printed by R. Chananya Lipa Schapira, grandson of the Rebbe of Slavitta. The title Page reads “printed in Yozefow by the press previously in Slavitta”. As is well-known, seforim, printed by the Schapira family press in Slavitta, Yozefow and later Zhitomir were exceptionally favored by many of the great the Chassidic Rebbes and, in turn, their followers. Following the exile of the Schapira press from Slavitta, they relocated for a short time to Yozefow where they continued printing seforim until they settled in Zhitomir.

הנחיות מוסריות שנשמעו מפי ר’ נחמן מברסלב והועברו על ידי תלמידיו. לאחר פטירתו של ר’ נחמן בשנת תק”ע (1810), רבים מתורותיו הודפסו על ידי תלמידים שונים
הודפס על ידי ר’ חנניה ליפא שפירא, נכדו של הרבי מסלאוויטא. בעמוד השער כתוב: נדפס ביוזפוף בבית הדפוס מלפנים בסלאוויטא. כידוע, ספרים שהודפסו בדפוס משפחת שפירא בסלאוויטא, ביוזפוף ומאוחר יותר בז’יטומיר זכו לנשיאת חן מיוחדת בעיני אדמו”רים חשובים רבים וחסידיהם. בעקבות הגלות של דפוס שפירא מסלאוויטא, הם עברו ליוזפוף לתקופה קצרה והמשיכו להדפיס שם ספרים עד למעבר הקבוע לז’יטומיר
