Lengthy autograph letter by R. Shmuel Greineman to R. Chaim Ozer Grodzensky regarding dedications received in America for the Sefer Torah being written by the Va’ad HaYeshivos in memory of the Chofetz Chaim. At the end of the letter R. Shmuel writes “my brother-in-law Ha’Ish (Chazon Ish) is in Eretz Yisroel and all is well with him, and I too plan on travelling to Eretz Yisroel with my family after Pesach”.
R. Shmuel Greineman (1882-1957), was a Brother-in-law of The Chazon Ish. He was a close Talmid and well as a confidante of the Chofetz Chaim as well as R. Chaim Ozer Grodzensky. He also managed the office of The Mir Yeshiva in America and was closely affiliated with many communal projects including Agudas Yisroel of America. In that capacity he lived in New York for a number of years. Father of R. Chaim Greineman.

מכתב אוטוגרפי ארוך שכתב ר’ שמואל גריינמן לר’ חיים עוזר גרודז’ינסקי בנושא תרומות שהתקבלו באמריקה לספר התורה שנכתב בוועד הישיבות לעילוי נשמת החפץ חיים. בסוף המכתב כותב ר’ שמואל “לגיסי האי”ש שליט”א בא”י שלו’ וגם אני הנני מתכונן לעלות אי”ה אחר חה”פ יחד עם ב”ב שיחי”ו לא”י”.
ר’ שמואל גריינמן (תרמ”ב- תשי”ז, 1882-1957) היה גיסו של החזון איש. היה תלמיד וחבר מקורב מאוד לחפץ חיים ולר’ חיים עוזר גרודז’ינסקי. הוא גם ניהל את משרדי ישיבת מיר באמריקה והיה מעורב ביותר בנושאי ציבור רבים, ביניהם באגודת ישראל באמריקה. משכך, התגורר מספר שנים בניו יורק. אביו של ר’ חיים גריינמן.
