Historic letter written to his nephew and talmid R. Mordechai Buchsbaum. The Rebbe seemingly writes personal matters concerning his two sons (R. Yonah & R. Shmuel) who had escaped to Eretz Yisroel during the Holocaust and continues with various details about chinuch of Yeshiva Bochurim in general. This is of particular importance as the Galanta Rov led one of the most prestigious Yeshivos in Hungary, with hundreds of Talmidim who greatly valued his every thought. R. Yehoshua Buchsbaum (1877-1944), was a talmid of R. Shmuel Rosenberg of Unsdorf and R. Moshe Hoffman. He served as Rov in Galanta, where in in addition to his rabbinical duties, he led a great Yeshiva. Enormously revered, he was held in awe by his talmidim and community whom he continued to lead, until he was tragically killed in the Holocaust.

מכתב היסטורי שכתב לאחינו ותלמידו ר’ מרדכי בוקסבוים. כנראה כותב הרבי עניינים אישיים אודות שני בניו (ר’ יונה ור’ שמואל) שנמלטו לארץ ישראל בשואה וממשיך בפרטים שונים בעניין חינוך בחורי ישיבה בכלל. מכתב זה הינו בעל חשיבות מיוחדת, מכיוון שהרב מגלאנטא עמד בראש אחת הישיבות הנחשבות ביותר בהונגריה, שבה מאות תלמידים מעריצים לכל מילה שלו. עם נספח מהרבנית מגלאנטא.
ר’ יהושע בוקסבוים (תרל”ז- תש”ד, 1877-1944) היה תלמידם של ר’ שמואל רוזנברג מאונסדורף ור’ משה הופמן. כיהן כרב בגאלנטא, ובנוסף לתפקידיו הרבניים עמד בראש ישיבה גדולה. היה נערץ ביותר והוחזק ביראת כבוד על ידי תלמידיו וקהילתו אותה המשיך להנהיג, עד שנרצח באופן טראגי בשואה.
