R. Shlomo Ganzfried (1804-1886), served as Av Bais Din in Ungvar where he was greatly revered. He authored many important seforim on a wide variety of topics, most notably the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch which was received to great acclaim, and is accepted as a fundamental Halachic work, found in almost every Jewish home.

ר’ שלמה גנצפריד (תקס”ד-תרמ”ו 1804-1886) שימש כאב בית דין באונגוואר, שם זכה להערכה רבה. הוא כתב ספרים חשובים רבים במגוון רחב של נושאים. המפורסם ביניהם הוא ה”קיצור שולחן ערוך” שהתקבל בכבוד רב ומקובל כספר הלכה יסודי המצוי ברוב בתי ישראל.
