Autograph letter written to Moreinu Yaakov Rosenheim, congratulating him on the occasion of his seventieth birthday. R. Schneider warmly thanks R. Rosenheim for his dedication in raising the stature of the Torah among the Jewish people, and in particular for all his efforts on behalf of R. Schneider’s Yeshiva. Concluding with warm blessings and good wishes for the future.
R. Moshe Leib Schneider (1885-1956), was a particularly close Talmid of the Chofetz Chaim. He founded and led a Yeshiva in Memel and later in Frankfurt. In 1938, he escaped from Germany to London with some of his talmidim, where he reestablished his Yeshiva “Toras Emes”. Renowned as a tremendous Talmid Chochom, he had many distinguished talmidim, among whom are R. Yitzchok Toivya Weiss and R. Moshe Sternbuch of the Eidah HaChareidis.

מכתב אוטוגרפי הממוען למורנו יעקב רוזנהיים ומברך אותו לרגל יום הולדתו השבעים. ר’ שניידר מודה בחום לר’ רוזנהיים על מאמציו להרמת קרן התורה בעם ישראל, ובפרט על העזרה שהוא הגיש לישיבה של הרב שניידר. המכתב מסתיים בברכות חמות ואיחולים לבביים לעתיד.
ר’ משה לייב שניידר (תרמ”ה-תשט”ז 1885-1956) היה תלמיד מקורב במיוחד לחפץ חיים. הוא הקים וניהל ישיבה במעמעל ולימים אף בפרנקפורט. בשנת תרצ”ח (1938) הוא נמלט מגרמניה ללונדון עם חלק מתלמידיו, שם ייסד מחדש את ישיבתו ‘תורת אמת’. נודע כתלמיד חכם בעל שיעור קומה שהעמיד תלמידים רבים, כולל ר’ יצחק טוביה וייס ור’ משה שטרנבוך מהעדה החרדית.
