In the aftermath of the Holocaust, among hundreds of thousands of refugees who came to Eretz Yisroel there were hundreds of distinguished Rabbonim, great Talmidei Chachomim who had served as Rabbonim in Europe, who found themselves in Eretz Yisroel without rabbinical positions and a livelihood. A committee was set up to address this problem under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Herzog, R. Akiva Sofer (Da’as Sofer) and R. Dov Beirish Weidenfeld (Tchbeiner Rav).
With autograph paragraph by the Steipler Gaon pleading with the “Ami Nadav” (nations of givers) to do all they can to support this great organization and ending with warm blessings for those that support this worthy cause.

בין מאות אלפי הפליטים שהגיעו לארץ ישראל בעקבות השואה היו מאות רבנים נכבדים – תלמידי חכמים עצומים שכיהנו כרבנים באירופה ומצאו את עצמם בארץ ישראל ללא משרות רבניות וללא מקור פרנסה. על מנת לטפל בבעיה זו הוקמה ועדה תחת חסותו של הרב הראשי ר’ הרצוג, ר’ עקיבא סופר (“דעת סופר”) ור’ דוב בעריש וידנפלד (הרב מטשעבין).
כולל פיסקא בכתב ידו של הסטייפלר, המתחנן ל”עמי נדב” שיעשו ככל יכולתם לתמוך בארגון החשוב, ומסיים בדברי ברכה לכל מי שתומך במאמץ זה.
