Rare autograph letter by R. Avrohom Grodzensky seemingly to R. Dovid Dainovsky of the Lomza Kollel in Petach Tikva, regarding the financial struggles of his family and of the Kollel. R. Grodzensky advises him to travel to America to raise funds. With mention of regards for R. Reuven Katz of Petach Tikva and R. Yitzchak Meir Ben-Menachem (son-in-law if R. Isser Zalman Meltzer).
R Avrohom Grodzensky (1884-1944), learned in the Slabodka Yeshiva becoming one of the closest students of the Alter of Slabodka. The Alter, referred to him as “my portion from all my efforts”. Known a great Ba’al mussar and a master educator, he served as the Mashgiach in the Slabodka Yeshiva. In 1925, he was sent by the Heads of the Yeshiva to establish a branch in Eretz Yisroel together with R. Yechezkel Sarna, however he later returned to Slabodka. He continued to lead and inspire the Slabodka Yeshiva during the Holocaust until he was murdered by the Nazis. Brother in law of R. Yaakov Kamenetsky and father in law of R. Chaim Kreiswirth R. Shloime Wolbe and R. Boruch Rosenberg.

מכתב אוטוגרפי נדיר שכתב ר’ אברהם גרוז’ינסקי, כנראה אל ר’ דוד דיינובסקי מכולל לומז’ה בפתח תקוה, בעניין ההתמודדות הכלכלית של משפחתו ושל הכולל. הר’ גרוז’ינסקי ממליץ לו לנסוע לאמריקה לגייס תרומות. עם דרישת שלום לר’ ראובן כץ מפתח תקוה ולר’ יצחק מאיר בן מנחם (חתנו של ר’ איסר זלמן מלצר).
ר’ אברהם גרוז’ינסקי (תרמ”ד- תש”ד, 1884-1944), למד בישיבת סלבודקא והיה מהתלמידים המקורבים ביותר לסבא מסלבודקא. הסבא אמר עליו “זה חלקי מכל עמלי”. כיהן כמשגיח בישיבת סלבודקא והתפרסם כבעל מוסר עצום ומחנך דגול. בשנת תרפ”ה 1925 שלחה אותו ראשות הישיבה לארץ ישראל כדי להקים בה סניף של ישיבת סלבודקא יחד עם ר’ יחזקאל סרנא, אולם לאחר מכן חזר לסלבודקא. המשיך להנהיג ולהעצים את הישיבה בסלבודקא במהלך השואה עד לרציחתו בידי הנאצים. גיסו של ר’ יעקב קמינצקי. חתניו- ר’ חיים קרייזווירט, ר’ שלמה וולבה ור’ ברוך רוזנברג.
