Two full sides of novella on Masechta Bava Basra (unsigned) by the renowned R. Eliyohu (Elya) Gutmacher of Greiditz.
R. Eliyahu Gutmacher also known as R. Elya Greiditzer (1796-1875), was one of the foremost disciples of R. Akiva Eiger. In addition to being greatly respected as great Talmid Chochom and Rav, he was renowned as a miracle worker to whom many turned in time of need. He also was extremely active in raising funds for the impoverished Jews of the Old Yishuv and was one of the early proponents of Yishuv Eretz Yisroel. He authored a sefer on Maseches Kinnim, which is a well-known and popular segulah.

ר’ אליהו גוטמכר, המוכר גם כר’ אליה גריידיצר (תקנ”ו-תרל”ה 1796-1875) היה מבכירי תלמידיו של ר’ עקיבא איגר. בנוסף להיותו תלמיד חכם עצום ורב דגול, הוא הוערך כפועל ישועות שאליו פנו רבים בעת צרה. כמו כן, הוא היה פעיל ביותר בגיוס כפים למען היהודים העניים של היישוב הישן, והיה אחד התומכים הראשונים ביישוב ארץ ישראל. חיבר ספר על מסכת קינים, אשר הינו סגולה ידועה ומוכרת.
