R. Yehuda Grunewald (1845-1920), was a student of the K’sav Sofer, R. Aaron Dovid Deitsch, R. Dovid Fischer and R. Dovid Schick. Renowned as a great Talmid Chochom, he served as Rav in various important communities including Bonyhad and Satmar. He also led a great Yeshiva, which was one of the most prestigious in Hungary. Author of various seforim including Zichron Yehuda and Shevet M’Yehuda.

ר’ יהודה גרונוולד (תר”ה-תר”פ 1845-1920) היה תלמיד של הכתב סופר, ר’ אהרן דוד דייטש, ר’ דוד פישר ור’ דוד שיק. נודע כתלמיד חכם עצום ושימש כרב בקהילות חשובות שונות כולל בוניהאד וסטמאר. בנוסף, הוא עמד בראש ישיבה גדולה שנמנתה בין הישיבות הנבחרות בהונגריה. חיבר ספרים שונים כגון זיכרון יהודה ושבט מיהודה.
