Autograph letter regarding a financial arrangement with a Yungerman who received “Heter Hora’ah” from R. Yosef Deutsch. Part of the income which was customarily was given to Rabbonim, was compensation for issuing a “Heter Hora’ah”. Concluding with an interesting personal request, to try and procure a certain garment.
R. Yosef Deutsch (died 1826), was renowned as a tremendous Talmid Chochom and Posek. He first served as Dayan in Boskowitz and in 1770 was appointed as Rav of Rudnitz. In 1789, he participated in the rabbinical delegation to the Kaiser led by R. Koppel Teben. He raised his grandson, R. Dovid Deutsch (son of his son R. Avrohom Deutsch), who was one of the most prominent talmidim of the Chasam Sofer and author of the well-known sefer Goren Dovid.

מכתב אוטוגרפי בעניין הסדר כלכלי עם אברכים שקיבלו היתר הוראה מר’ יוסף דייטש. הרבנים שלמדו ונתנו היתר הוראה קיבלו גם כחלק משכרם הטבה. המכתב מסתיים בבקשה אישית, לנסות לרכוש בגד מסוים.
ר’ יוסף דייטש (נפטר בתקפ”ו 1826), נודע כפוסק ותלמיד חכם עצום. כיהן תחילה כדיין בבוסקוביץ, ובשנת תק”ל 1770 נתמנה לרבה של רודניץ. בשנת תקמ”ט 1789 הצטרף למשלחת הרבנים בהנהגת ר’ קאפל טבן לקיסר. גידל את נכדו ר’ דוד דייטש (בן של בנו ר’ אברהם דייטש), שהפך לאחד מתלמידיו המובהקים של החת”ם סופר, בעל הספר הנודע גורן דוד.
