R. Yitzchok Guatah (1777-1857), was born in Italy and studied under R. Moshe Lachmaish and R. Yitzchok Vaaturi. Towards the end of his life he settled in Tzfas where he served as a Rav.
The inscription is not in the author’s handwriting.

ר’ יצחק גואיטע (תקל”ז- תרי”ז, 1777-1857), נולד באיטליה ולמד אצל ר’ משה לחמיש ור’ יצחק ועטורי. לקראת סוף חייו עלה לארץ ישראל והשתקע בצפת בה כיהן כרב.
