Agra D’Pirka authored by the Bnei Yissoschar, published by the Va’ad Hatzalah in Germany, with the handwritten signature of the famed R. Avigdor Miller (in pencil).
R. Avigdor Miller (1908-2001), was born in Baltimore and learned in Yeshivas Rabbeinu Yitzchok Elchonon before travelling to Lithuania to learn in the Slabodka Yeshiva. There he developed into a prodigious Talmid Chochom and Ba’al Mussar. After returning to America, he served as Mashgiach in Yeshivas Rabbeinu Chaim Berlin, and was the Rav of a shul first in East New York and later in Flatbush. He authored tens of seforim and delivered thousands of shiurim, which exerted a tremendous influence. Despite the 20 years since his passing, his seforim and shiurim are still enormously popular and continue to inspire Jews of all groups.

ר’ אביגדור מילר (תרס”ח- תשס”א, 1908-2001), נולד בבולטימור ולמד בישיבת רבינו יצחק אלחנן עד שנסע לליטא ללמוד בישיבת סלבודקא. בליטא נעשה לגדול בתורה ובעל מוסר. אחר שחזר לאמריקה כיהן כמשגיח בישיבת רבינו חיים ברלין וכן כרב בית הכנסת תחילה במזרח ניו יורק ואחר כך בפלטבוש. חיבר עשרות ספרים ומסר אלפי שיעורים שלכולן הייתה השפעה רבה. הספרים שחיבר והשיעורים שמסר עדיין פופולאריים היום, למרות שעברו 20 שנה מפטירתו, והם ממשיכים להעצים יהודים מכל הסוגים.
