R. Dovid Rubinstein (1752-1832), was of the most distinguished rabbinical figures of his time. Known as a tremendous Talmid Chochom and Posek he served as Rov in Koblesdorf and later in Kadulburg. He corresponded on many halachic questions with the Chasam Sofer, who held him in enormous esteem and he is mentioned many times in Teshuvos Chasam Sofer with great titles. On a well-known occasion when he visited Pressburg, the Chasam Sofer interrupted the learning of his young children, in order for them to receive a brocho from this venerable Tzaddik.

ר’ דוד רובינשטיין (תקי”ב- תקצ”ב, 1752-1832) היה מגדולי הרבנים בתקופתו. כיהן כרב בקוברסדורף וקדולברג, והתפרסם כתלמיד חכם ופוסק עצום.
התכתב בשאלות הלכתיות רבות עם החתם סופר, שהעריץ אותו מאוד, ופעמים רבות הוא מוזכר בתשובות החתם סופר בתוספת תארים נכבדים. במקרה מפורסם כשביקר בפרשבורג, קטע החתם סופר את לימודי בניו הקטנים, על מנת שיקבלו ברכה מצדיק זה.
