Eliyahu Gutmacher and R. Yaakov Ettlinger (Aruch L’Ner). This is the first sefer printed by the well-known printing press of Rabbi Yitzchak Herschensohn.
R. Eliyahu Gutmacher also known as R. Elya Greiditzer (1796-1875), was one of the foremost disciples of R. Akiva Eiger, and was renowned as a great “miracle worker” to whom many turned in time of need.

ר’ אליהו גוטמאכר, המכונה גם ר’ אליה גריידיצר (תקנ”ו-תרל”ה, 1796-1875), היה מחשובי תלמידי ר’ עקיבא איגר, ונודע כמחולל ניסים אשר רבים פנו אליו בעת צרתם.
