Polemic letter sent to the central Rabbanut office in response to a public notice issued by the Rabbanut that the Austrian/Galician Kollel had failed to appear at a Din-Torah to which they had been summoned. The writer, Yehuda Rubinstein, who was the secretary of the Kollel, denied the accusation and stated that they had responded to the original summons by writing that they would agree to participate in a particular form of Din-Torah known as “Zabla”. The Rabbinate had acknowledged the request and agreed to their rights in this matter. The public announcement by the Rabbanut was therefore unjustified and the Kollel was now calling the Rabbanut itself to a Din-Torah to settle this injustice.

מכתב פולמוסי שנשלח למשרד הרבנות הראשי בתגובה להודעה פומבית שפרסמה הרבנות נגד הכולל שלא הופיעו בדין התורה אליו זומנו. הכותב יהודה רובינשטיין, מזכיר הכולל בשעתו, הכחיש את ההאשמה וקבע כי הם הגיבו לזימון המקורי בכתבם כי יסכימו להשתתף בדין התורה באופן מסוים המכונה “זבל”א”. הרבנות נעתרה לבקשה והסכימה לזכויותיהם בעניין זה. ההכרזה הציבורית של הרבנות הייתה אפוא בלתי מוצדקת והכולל מזמן כעת את הרבנות עצמה לדין תורה להסדרת עוול זה.
