During the Holocaust, when Talmidim of the Mirrer Yeshiva and other refugees found themselves in Kobe, a great Halachic debate ensued regarding the dateline and its halachic ramifications particularly regarding Yom Kippur. Published in response to the sefer “HaYomam Be’Kadur Ha’Oretz” authored by R. Yechiel Michel Tuktchinsky, with whom the Chazon Ish strongly disagrees.
