Sarah Schenirer (1883-1935), was a pioneer of Jewish education for girls and initiated a system of organized Jewish education for girls Bais Yaakov. Founded in 1917, with a few students, by the eve of the Holocaust there were about 250 schools established and over 40,000 students in Bais Yaakov schools. Her influence and contribution to Torah true Judaism is immeasurable and her educational system and teachings live on.

שרה שנירר (תרמ”ג- תרצ”ה, 1883-1935) הייתה חלוצת החינוך היהודי לבנות ויזמה מערכת חינוך יהודית מאורגנת לבנות- בית יעקב. בית הספר הראשון של בית יעקב נוסד בשנת תרע”ז (1917) עם מעט מאוד תלמידות, עד שבערב השואה כבר עמדו כ-250 בתי ספר בהם למדו למעלה מ40,000 תלמידות. השפעתה ותרומתה ליהדות תורנית אמיתית אינן ניתנות לשיעור, ושיעוריה, יחד עם המוסד העצום שהקימה, קיימים ועומדים עד ימינו אנו.
