Halachic responsa by R. Yosef Rosen known as the Gaon of Rogatchov. It was prepared for publication by R. Yisroel Alter Suffren-Fuchs a pupil of the Rogatchover and published by the Rogatchover’s only child, his daughter Rochel, who wrote a short introduction. Printed in Latvia in the early days of World War 2.
R. Yosef Rosen (1858-1936) was considered one of the greatest geniuses of his time and served as the Rav of the Chassidic community in Dvinsk, alongside R. Meir Simcha Cohen who served as the Rav of the Misnagdim community. He received Halachic questions from across the world a portion of which are published here.

ר’ יוסף רוזן (תרי”ח-תרצ”ו 1858-1936) נחשב לאחד מגדולי הגאונים בזמנו, ושימש כרב הקהילה החסידית בדבינסק לצד ר’ מאיר שמחה כהן שהנהיג את קהילת המתנגדים. הוא קיבל שאלות הלכתיות מרחבי העולם, וחלקם מודפסים כאן.
