R. Zechariah ben Saruk (1450-c. 1540), was one of the great Chachamim of Spain. He served as Rav in Bargon and following the Inquisition, in Algeria. With an important introduction, which provides a rare historical glimpse into the travails of Jews who were exiled from Spain as well into as other challenges of that period.
