Collection of Derashos by R. Naftali Ashkenazi.
R. Naftali Ashkenazi (d. 1602), was among the great scholars and Kabbalists of Tzefas and was student and relative of the ARIZAL, whom he quotes in this Sefer. He is mentioned in the Sefer HaChazyonos [The Book of Visions] by R. Chaim Vital. R. Naftoli left Tzefas and immigrated to Venice in 1601, where he printed this sefer and was associated with the scholars of the Venice Yeshiva. This sefer contains derashos which he delivered on various occasions, as well as eulogies on various Torah giants of his generation, including R. Eliezer Azkiri, author of the Sefer Charedim.

ר’ נפתלי אשכנזי (נפטר בשס”ב 1602), היה מגדולי תלמידי החכמים והמקובלים בצפת. תלמידו וקרוב משפחתו של האריזל אשר אף מצוטט בספר. ר’ נפתלי מוזכר בספר החזיונות לר’ חיים ויטאל. בשנת שס”א 1601 עזב ר’ נפתלי את צפת ועבר לוינציאה, שם הדפיס את ספרו זה והתחבר עם תלמידי החכמים שבישיבת וינציאה.
הספר כולל דרשות שנשא באירועים שונים וכן הספדים על גדולי תורה שונים מתקופתו, ביניהם ר’ אליעזר אזקרי, מחבר הספר חרדים.
