R. Shmuel Ehrenfeld, known as the Chasan Sofer (1835-1883), was a grandson of the Chasam Sofer and a prime student of his uncle the K’sav Sofer. Served as Rabbi in Botlan, Siska and Mattersdorf. Besides authoring several important works on various subjects, he was also one of the most prominent educators of Torah in his region.
